the sky




The sky. What colour is it? Blue. When you look up at the sky you see blue. Therefore, the sky must be blue, right? WRONG. The sky is not blue. the sky doesnt have a colour. So why does it appear blue? I dont know. Ive herd 2 theories that i can remember. the 1st is that the colour is reflected from the ocean. the ocean is blue. the other theory that ive herd is that the immense amount of space between us and space means that the darkness of space is made lighter. like is you have a dark blue pice of cellefane paper, and you put it behind a window. then you add another window. and another. eventually the peice of dark blue cellafane paper looks light blue.

but i really done know the truth.

in fact, i was crushed when i was told the sky wasnt blue. there i was, having a mid life crisis, and someone asked me what i was sure of in the world. i told them the only thing i was sure of was that the sky is blue and the grass is green.

but no.

they had to go and tell me that the sky is not blue. it crushed me. since then ive never been sure of anything.

because the sky is not, and never will be, blue

my dreams are ruined. how am i sposed to fly into a blue expanse of wonder, if its not blue? how can i watch the sky turn from blue, to pink, to purple, to black, while i watch the sun dissapear behind the mountains? how can i fall in love with someone who has eyes the colour of the sky? i repeat, my dreams are ruined.

has anyone else had their dreams ruined like this?? its totally unfair.
